Thankyou, yes, a quiet day today. Recovering from travelling back from a week camping in Croyde, Devon, yesterday.

Went fishing on holiday - Baggy Point - british shore caught Tope record was once held from a mark somewhere here. I found very few places I could safely fish with my son. Another location added to to my "blankers" book !

Made up for by catching some good waves on the body boards though.

sorry you didn't do to well with fishing but you where in a lovely part of the country, we are going to Combe Martin for 2 week next month so will be taking a look at Croyde and Barnstaple while we're there. Good to be able to spend time with your lad though even if the fishing's not to good, we just sit and watch the sea there's always something going on to keep use both amused while we wait for a bit.

Don't forget to take your fishing gear. Combe Martin looks a good fishing venue - it is listed in my 20 places to fish in North Devon guide with the statement "it's rare to catch nothing".

Thanks Guys. Once an ironman always an ironman ... I have that t-shirt as they say (4 of them). Not raced a triathlon for a few years now but I do still enjoy having a go at different sports. The whole family took part in a big orienteering event in the hills around Aberystwyth a few weeks ago ("Croeso 2012"). After 6 demanding races in a week I was almost as tired then as I have been after racing the ironman. Perhaps I was going the wrong way a bit too much though
