Went out on the hounds again last night but wasn't to confident with the weather. and when i got there i was a little disapointed at there being no surf and no wind.
Neather the less id come prepared this time with some fresh pumped blow lug for the bass just in case.
set up both rods with pulley rigs size 2/0 hooks and aarmed one with fresh crab and left the other one silent in the rest until i new what was around.
after 2 cast's with fresh crab i landed my 1st fish of the night a dreaded doggy.
then nowt for the next hour. so i decided to use the 2nd rod with 3 blow at a time onn it only for it too be stripped in minutes.
i then met 2 lad's from down the coast. and whilst there was no bite's . i helped them out with a lesson on tying leader and what rig's and hook's to use.
and fair play i felt like id achieved something as they listened and learnt straight away.
as soon as it went dark we started to get billy bites but only i connected with a schoolie of about a lb.
after an hour and sick of baiting up with worm only to get stripped every 5minutes i brought both rods in and loaded them both with crab and casted them both close in for a last chance of a fish. within 2 minutes one rod bent over double then slack lined and after a good run i eventually landed my P.B. bass at 6.4lb.
not the best pic id admit as id not checked the setting in my excitement.
the only down side was it was deep hooked and bleeding from the gill's so unfortuanattly i had to take it home for tea tonight.
