It's been a boaty sort of a weekend,
( er, don't ask! )
moving swiftly on!
Jason had already been up and out before silly o'clock and when he brought Mytime back in for the 6 am launch rendezvous he was already 14 Bass and a Smoothie up!
I took up Jason's kind invitation and Mehmet joined Nathan aboard Black Bart.
After a chilly start the sun burned through,
several marks were explored from
the Dee Estuary banks, out to the windfarm and back to the "rough ground"
a Bass and Dab doubleheader was a new one for me, in fact just being on a boat is unusual for me and Jason's guidance ( and a go on the controls!) was much appreciated.
Smoothies were coming to Supreme , (
many thanks Steve for the crabs)
I had a smoothie run on the crab but didn't connect, but by mid afternoon My Time had seen TWENTY ONE Bass ( some were keepers but all were returned), 1 Smoothie, 2 Whiting, 1 Launce and maybe a dozen Dabs.
Not so many Bass for Nathan and Mehmet but they bagged up on loads of dabs. Mehmet lost his own Tope ( and it snapped the spinning rod I'd lent him! Perhaps he'd do battle better with his pop bottle! ) but Nathan more than made up for it with that stunning 50lb plus Tope
A really big thank you Jason for a brilliant day out and for your guidance over the weekend.
They're a friendly lot down at Prestayn Sailing Club!
