thanks everyone. the wedding went great and we're both very happy despite whats happened the last couple of days.
won't go into too much detail but the honeymoon in venice was cancelled due to the snow but we had a 5 hour delay before being told this, followed by "join this queue to rebook/cancel your flights". another 5 hours queueing resulted in getting to the front of the queue at last only to be told that staff would not see anyone else until morning as they hadn't had a break in their 8 hour shift (poor them eh?) we made the most of it and spent 2 nights in london one of which BA paid for and the other in a 5star hotel who very kindly upgraded our room after all we'd been through
we've decided that we will never travel with BA again. we understand they can't control the weather but their customer service was just appalling but i'm not going into that now
