Return to Portishead Empty
PostSubject: Return to Portishead   Return to Portishead EmptySat Nov 12, 2022 7:48 pm

It only seems like yesterday that Musselboy started at Bristol University. I had high hopes then of frequent visits including fishing trips to be had in and around Portishead. Pandemic and also long term ill health of my mother (she passed away recently) put paid to that.

Already four years later and we were back for his graduation ceremony. First class degree and an engineering masters in computer science so not too shabby at all.

Got a couple of sessions in fishing by the pier. Tide was too big to fish on the pier itself but there was plenty of bites to be had around the sides (with ragworm). Landed a few small whiting. Guy to the side of me had a chunky conger around 1m fell off at the rocks.

Musselboy has got funding for a PhD, so he could be here for another 4 years. Hopefully I get more trips in the next 4 years than I managed in the last 4.

Condolences on the passing of your Mother and congratulations of course on your son's result and we look forward to hearing of further trips, I must say that second photo is
really very good.
