Conditions looked perfect so I seized the opportunity and headed down to Prestatyn.
Popped in to get some lug and had a brew with Dave Rob then down on the beach for about 8am

Few mins later Dave Radders joined me
First cast and Dave was in with a nice 51cm Bass weighing 3lbs 5oz confidence was high now and I was sure that I was going to better my PB today.

Shortly after we had a double hook up I caught and returned a 42cm didn’t bother to weigh it and Dave’s was a similar size

Bang on low water I had a cracking slack line and I could tell this was a new PB.

54cm and weighing 3lbs 14oz

Followed by a 49cm and 2 around 36cm

All these Bass where in great condition

The tide was pushing us back out of reach of the gully we where fishing so Dave moved and I headed back to work for 12

Daves move paid off with a double shot followed by a flounder

End tally
6 Bass for me and a tiny Dab
4 Bass and a flounder for Dave

Absolutely made up with that session “love it when a plan comes together!”

Nice going Dyl,that can be a good spot at times,I'm glad someone is out there fishing and posting,or the site would fold up and die.
We launched out of Prestatyn a couple of years ago,and I caught my own personal best bass(4lbs) just a bit further out than where you were fishing.
We took a pic of the Bass,and sent it to the PC's in the boat club,(heyup,I was on the telly lol!

The contract boat skippers reckon this is the time for smoothies on hardback crab in the area you were fishing.
I'd love to get out there myself,but age is caching me up.
