https://www.channel5.com/show/kate-humble-s-coastal-britain/season-2/episode-1 That was fantastic, unfortunately I missed the episode on tv. The big surprise was that the breakwater's basic building structure was Timber. I've been all around the island by car etc,it's amazing what you miss and don't realise what there is to see. Great idea posting it,many thanks. |

| Just dicovered the guy that invented the landover was from Red Wharf Bay. I wonder what he thought of the mess British Leyland made of the Land Rover's reputation. I remember driving behind a few,and decided they were like a jelly on springs. |

| I can remember doing the epic trip to Anglesea by the old route before the A55. Loads of traffic queues, hot and sweaty car,all the windows open and the heater on cold blow. It's a memory that I wouldn't trade. |

| Yes, I remember that road, whether to leave early or late to avoid the traffic, would there be a queue going through Conway? I had the advantage of heading for Mold so there were a few other options.

| The road past the oil refineries near Chester was a dangerous rd. It was 3 lanes, with the middle lane used for overtaking from both directions. We saw the results of a head on crash on our way to Rhyl. It certainly slowed the speed of the traffic down. The M56-A55 route is a pleasure. |
