Plan was to fish Holyhead Breakwater
with my usual rag tipped cut down sabiki  rig tactic, bank a few wrasse and then (with a mind to an alternative when the breakie gets closed for the rock defence work) try the headland along the coastal path which I've not fished before.

From a couple of hours before High it was a bite a drop on the breakwater, all from the inside of the corner - no bites at all from the outer edge even though it was all of 10 feet away  (due to the chop
kicked up by the breeze ?)

Pretty well on High the bites switched off by when I'd had about 15-20 wrasse.

So on with part two of the plan.

I opted for a large hook with a large ragworm and a single sabiki tipped with an inch of rag worm dropped into a deeper looking hole beneath an undershot rock
and the biggest wrasse of the day took the smaller hook.

thumbs up

Typical that the bigger fish takes the smaller bait and hook.

Impressed about how far you walked in those shoes.

clown  I forgot to return them to the circus!  In all seriousness though I should have changed in to something safer for rock hopping and I look too much at risk of tripping over my rucksack too!

Nice going Paul, that looks like it was worth the trip out.
We'll have to call you "The Wrasse Wrassler"  lol!

I've got a pair of shoes like that, wore them once, but they rubbed my feet,
I never thought of wearing socks,so socks it is.
The shoes are versatile obviously, beach, rocks boat etc.even when camping.
Nice pics by the way, colours are great.
