Went out from Rhos on Sea to the wind turbines on Thursday from 09.00 to 19.00hrs flat as a pancake for most of the day the waves started getting up around 17.00hrs, our bow was into the on-coming waves so they rolled under the boat nicely. As for the fish plenty of mackerel around the dog fish were coming up on ever cast of the paternoster whether we were using the smallest piece of worm of a chunk of mackerel, very quiet  most of the day on the big hooks big bait but worth the wait  for the Thorncak that Paddy caught picture below, we also caught around 8 of those pesky weavers (handle with care) and a Starfish.

I've wanted to try it for a while, but with being on someone else's boat,I never managed it.We got dragged into the Bass scene,on the other side.
15 boats, all casting lures,I could picture the bass rolling about laughing at the different lures.I believe there was a 7lb Wrasse caught on your side of the island(close in)There must be something in the 20ft on your side of the island.

I watched an episode of 'Sgota on S4C yesterday, one boat was off Puffin Island and one was off Holyhead ( which won on species and the best fish)

We've drifted quite close into the Rhos side of the island,it looks sheer,I imagine perfect big Wrasse and Conger territory.
We did the same at Bird poo rock on the Llyn, but that looked eerie and dark.
We had been told it was a good spot for Tope, that was years ago,and thinking back, none of us had a clue what we were doing  lol!
