| Come on you guys, someone must have chucked a line in. I've been contemplating Connah's Quay, anyone fancy it? Thought I might try an hour and a half before slack water, and an hour or two after.Locked in running ledger with plenty of bling, and Black Lug and Squid strips.Probably use a grip lead to cope with the rip. |

| I haven't fished since Dec. 19th when the Welsh lockdown came in to force. I had my 2nd jab yesterday, so maybe soon I might have a bit of practice for when our matches start again next month. |

| A few more weeks before my second jab. Don't want to risk catching some Llanbobl covid variant before getting that.
Daughter is also in midst of A level "assessment". Very stressful time here.
Not fished for a year now. Determined to get out soon. |

The local tackle shops have had plenty in lately, but the small tides this week have made them scarcer, this time of the year makes them easier to find on the bigger tides as the sand warms up.

Fished off the car park higher up,very snaggy.Caught a few sandeel in a net and used them as bait. Next time I fish it I'll be using a float to keep out of the snags. I've seen the water boil there with mackerel, probably being chased to the surface by bass. If you go through the village towards Rhyl there's a bridge over a stream, once over the bridge you take the first left, that take you down to a car park and pub. Looking seaward,I went to the right and fished between the groins.(it's on the path/cycle track that starts in Rhyl.)I think the path ends up in Colwyn bay. |
