At least that is some progress.I suppose the winds will be the reason for it ending up in Scotland. The big picture is it could be anywhere in between where it went down. |

| Just seen this on facebook.
North Wales Police 2h ยท We are aware that the bodies of three men have been recovered from the coastline off the Wirral and Blackpool over the weekend. We have been in contact with colleagues from both Merseyside and Lancashire Police, and we await the outcome of the Home Office postmortem examinations. The families of the missing crew members from the vessel ‘Nicola Faith’ have been kept informed, and continue to be supported by specialist officers. We would request that they are given the necessary privacy at this difficult time. |

| Thanks for that MusselMan, I hope this will bring a bit of closure for the family and friends it must be so difficult not knowing. It’s so sad you have to feel for them. |

Some closure is the best this can bring. Such a sad event. |

| It's probably welcome closure for the families. I'll be very interested to know what happened. Should be a clue by one of them being found off the Wirral, and the other two near Blackpool. |

| Nicola Faith has been found. Copy from a local paper
THE search for a missing boat off the coast of Conwy has discovered a sunken vessel "of significant interest".
The UK Government Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), which has searched for the Nicola Faith since the start of February, said it has located the wreck of a vessel in the Colwyn Bay area. he Chief Inspector of Marine Accidents has issued a ‘Notice of Direction to Prohibit Access’ around the wreck requiring that it be left undisturbed until further notice, pending further investigation by the MAIB."
The notice prohibits anchoring, fishing by nets, trawls or lines, and carrying out diving operations within a 200-metre radius of the wreck’s location.

| Sounding similar to the loss of another commercial boat from Conway, which was lost a few years ago (after snagging its gear on the seabed in that area)
I imagine the wreck will be investigated to determine exactly how events unfolded in this tragedy. _________________ we call it fishing not catching!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-57308487 It's amazing how much marine growth has built up on her in just 4 months. The good old Daily Post reported the wreck was found "just 177 miles ย from where last reported", I don't know who copied it from someone else, but it was 177 metres.

| Thanks for the update. Like Notbad said,it's happened before in that area,so I'm interested in knowing what the inspection of the cause finds out. I wonder if the nets were found, and if they had any evidence of the crew trying to cut them free? |

That deepens the mystery even further. I wonder if there were any submarines in the area? |

That deepens the mystery even further. I wonder if there were any submarines in the area? A friend of mine thinks the boat may have been top heavy with the frame work on the stern and rolled. just speculation we will have to wait and see what the report says. |

it certainly made me think about the modifications to and stability of my own boat. Saw some small boats on the topside of the Llyn rolling broadside on to the swell. It certainly made me aware of choosing a boat with good stability. Apart from my broom speedboat that's been converted for sea fishing,I have a 10ft fibreglass rowing boat project on the go.It's got a 5ft beam, takes a 6hp evinrude, and is super stable,so much so that you can stand up and fish from it.I bought aluminium oars and customised them, and rowing it is effortless, and to quote an old saying,'it will turn around on a tanner' (the old sixpence old money) |
