Parked up by the lifeboat station at 2am and made the 25 min walk to the low water mark...first item was to pump some of the plentiful blow lug,and by 3am i had a good few so i cast out a 2 hook flapper @ 40yds in to the surf. The action does`nt usually get going until the tide starts to flood,so i was pleasantly surprised to have a rattling good bite on the first cast, resulting in a nice bass.

Another missed bass bite followed before i took a dab and a couple of flounders, before the second bass turned up...

Well done Yozzer, your more of a tryer than I ever was, though I do remember digging ragworm with a Tilley lamp when the tides were difficult.
