| After our aborted trip to the east coast, myself and Dave headed to Ty Croes where we would get shelter from the easterly wind and the chance of rays n huss. Got that sinking feeling when we arrived at 7.45pm to see 3 cars already parked up,so we knew the best spots would be taken  We climbed down to a spot 100yds to the left and proceeded to drag dogs in Dave snared a thorny along with a dab and a couple of whiting, but i could`nt get past the muts The two lads in the hot spot looked like they had 3 or 4 good fish (huss or rays) as we could see their lights as they went down to land them....called it a night an hour after low as the swell was starting to pick up and the dogs were still being a pain..... :help: |

Both Glad you said that yoz,I was a bit worried that you might be offended. Ty croes on a windy night,I'd end up a casualty Haha. We were fishing off there in a boat a few years ago,and I was using dogfish as bait, the fishfinder was going mad when I chucked the bits over. The Tide changed, and a massive swell came up,so we had to leg it back to the straits,so I never found out if dogfish for bait was effective. |

Thanks KD.I won't be going to Ty Croes in my boat,it's only 14ft.It gets a bit too hard to handle the changing tides. |
