PostSubject: Bacon butty's at midnight   Sat May 19, 2018 9:31 pm

I was back on the bullshead yesterday for a night sess
joining me was my mate callum and cole when he
finished school.  cheers

Me and Callum got on there for around 13:30 to get
everything set up and baited up  fishing
as we was setting up another angler told us of a big
pike sat underneath his peg eating the fish he
was catching  Rolling Eyes  this got me going so i quickly
set a pike rod up and caught a livebait and headed
to his peg.  bounce  bounce

He was right the pike was led there  bounce  bounce  the
moment put the livebait in front of it
Bang fish on  cheers  cheers
After a good scrap i landed and weighed it 12lb 3oz  cth

After the pike all we could catch was skimmers , roach and perch

The carp fishing was slow but I did mange to catch one cth

Cole arrived around 20:00 and he started catching more skimmers and roach  cheers

Cole caught the first carp of the night a very dark common cth

Quickly followed by a common for Callum cth

And around an hour later another dark carp this time a small mirror cth

For the next few hours the only bite we had was from us eating bacon buttys cheers
so we decided to get a couple of hours sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep

I was up at around 4:15 to the pond looking great at that time of
the morning cheers  so I recast my bait's and caught a first for
me a lovely little ghost carp Rock on

We decided to pack up around 9:00ish but Cole was still catching skimmers for fun  fishing

It was a great sess between us catching 1 pike 6 carp a bream and a ton of skimmers roach and a few perch cheers cheers

Well done there.
Last night I was watching a Bernard Cribbins "catching the impossible" on carp fishing. The best I have done is a few 4 inch crucian carp from a Rhosesmor pond when I was Cole's age.
