In search of a beast in the east Empty
PostSubject: In search of a beast in the east   In search of a beast in the east EmptyFri Mar 02, 2018 8:56 pm

2 to 3 weeks ago my brother was telling me how active the pike were on his club waters in the fens, seizing fish off the hooks on their way in during matches and all that.

Plans were made to fish for them with lures this weekend. I changed my braid, bought a couple of extra lures, traces and ordered a larger landing net ready for a whopper

Then the beast from the east arrived, temperatures plummeted, the wind got up and many of the dykes were frozen over

Still you've got to give it a go
