I was back on the Mersey again today with 7 others on board Suveran 2 skippered by Simon parry. To be honest I wasn't looking forward to going because it's not been fishing the best and the weather forcast for the day was wet and windy.
We arrived around 7:30am and set sail half an hour later
The fishing started as expected slow really slow but the weather was getting better all the time
After a few bites but no fish for any of us mark caught the first fish of the day
Sadly that cod was the only fish we caught at the first mark so simon decided to move just past new brighton
The fishing really improved ( to be honest it couldn't get any worse ) with us all catching good size whiting and dabs
Once the tide started to turn we headed up to the town hall were Richard caught a cod with his first cast
After Richards cod another was caught (missed the pic ) the fishing went dead again with only the odd whiting and a tiny cod for me being caught
Untill the last 30mins when Tatches mate Graham caught the last fish of the day another nice cod
Shortly After that cod it was time to go in
We all had a decent day we all caught a few fish and the weather was great all day There was also plenty of banter and laugh's though out the day Thanks again si for another good day and for feeding us all.
