| I've got some great memories of Rhyl from when I was a kid. It seems like every time I go these days there are more restrictions. The Town centre looks almost derelict these days, sad to say. I know all councils have had major cutbacks in funding, but I don't think their present policies are the answer. The place is dying a death. I noticed last year that the parking on the Abersoch side of the Lynn was expensive. To take the kids to the beaches is impossible unless you pay to park, and if you were there for a week,it could cost an extra £25 at least. I suppose they will be wondering why the tourists are giving it a miss. This government is killing everything with it's cutbacks.

| When visiting somewhere and the parking and restrictions are like tiptoeing through a mine field, people will avoid going.A day out gets expensive if you add a £35 fine, especially if it goes up to £60 if you don't pay in their timeframe. It's getting sad when councils are using it to top up their coffers. Sadly,I can see Rhyl becoming a ghost town, people will avoid the coast road and stay on the A55.To me,that's another bit of the magic of visiting Rhyl lost. |

| A word to the wise, there's environmental bods roaming around the area dishing out £75 fines to people who drop litter, fag ends and the like which is fair enough but the first thing you know about it is when the fine turns up in the morning post Apparently they can't give you a fine without giving you the chance of recovering the offending item so if you do receive one of these letters but wernt challenged by the operative then you'll have a good chance of getting out of paying as their braking their own rules On the whole though it's probably easier to just use a bin |

| The sickness known as greed is spreading It's reached Colwyn Bay now At the moment the machines are only between the Hump and the Pier (or whats left of it). There are plans to introduce more machines going from the Pier to the Toad pub later this year |

On the whole though it's probably easier to just use a bin It can be expensive if you appeal and go to court, could end up paying out about £300. Because of the Tory cuts to councils, the councils are turning on the locals to fill their coffers Sad situation to say the least. |
