Got on the beach at Victoria Rd an hour before low to pump some worm for the session but sadly couldn't find any razor to dig out.I was joined by Steve and Dave...a strong onshore breeze put up a good surf and apart from some flounder and whiting I managed to snare a couple of silvers and Dave had the best an hour before high water.....the quest for the 5lb bass continues, Formby 7th Oct 363c9db662f8551e9c3b18478986351cFormby 7th Oct 5386ec7858e9db1dc96d06ecc9db6d5cFormby 7th Oct 3535777b7a3bbd8249de6ad2b16f32b5Formby 7th Oct 47ef55744d0c14a40530dda4d78a2489

Nice one chaps, well worth the effort.
I didn't realise how close you can get to the beach.
I googled Victoria rd,it surprised me how near the access to the beach was.
Does the tide come in fast with it being fairly flat?

Yeah that`s the downside of fishing spring tides there...great for pumping lug but you don`t get very long in each gulley before the one behind you starts to fill and force you back....i think a 27ft tide would be ideal to give you a good time in the top deep gulley. p.s if you go during office hours it`s £6 to park Shocked Shocked

Thanks for the info Yozzer, the tide situation sounds a bit too quick for me,Haha.
Re the parking charge, you wouldn't believe we live on an island would you?So much for the National Trust.
They are grabbing all the coastal areas, then charging thro' the nose to access the sea.
(End of Rant lol! )
