I had the day off yesterday so naturally the Mrs found work for idle hands to do while she was at work, or so she thought
The tasks which were lined up for me were all outside jobs and with June's weather at its best I took the executive decision to be rained off after all I couldn't be expected to do anything outside in that weather
So off I went to the Foryd for a few hours up to high water
Although I had no peeler crab it was the only place I could think of that might offer some shelter from the wind and stormy seas and although there would be a lot of fresh water coming into the estuary from this week's rain I knew that Flounder are quite tolerant of fresh water so it was worth a go
Sorry about the blurry picture but it was awful weather
I was right about being sheltered though
As I said I really could have done with Peeler for bait but I have caught here before on lug but the crabs were getting the baits and the weed was becoming a pain even when I changed from fishing in the main channel and fished in the back eddy near the wall
But even all that followed by a blank it was still better than sitting at home
I called in to say hello to Tony Parry before getting in the car as he's busy setting up his new tackle shop on the harbour
Good luck with the new venture Tony
