Between the pub all afternoon or a trip perhaps to Bull Bay on saturday. Not been up there for maybe 15 years if I remember correctly up to the headland then turn right there were some easyish marks to access. Is the ground reasonably clean at range there? Was planning on the float close in but havent got a lot of rough ground rigs set up and to be honest cant be bothered tying any!

It's going to be a bit windy, could be some big waves, you might be better thinking of another location. You could try Four mile bridge,on the bridge. The Abersoch side is ok on a float. The Bass come in on the incoming and back out on the outgoing. Two old locals fish it regularly, they catch Blennies etc on the other side of the bridge, then fish them as live bait under a float on the Abersoch side. There's a bait and tackle shop nearby (can't remember exactly where) Good luck

Thanks for the reply but Abersoch? I thought bull bay Amlwch would be sheltered from the SW winds last forecast I saw?

I think the waves will still be there, you could check it out first before you decide. Try this for the forecast--www.tides for fishing.com Gives you the swell and wave heights etc.

Never fished Bull Bay but it should be sheltered looking at the forecast. If not there is Amlwch Breakwater or Llam Carw which should also both be sheltered from a South Westerly. Dont know what the village idiot is on about Abersoch for

Amlwch harbour area can catch the wind quite badly but just round the corner at Point Lynas or Ravens might offer some shelter from a SW

I should think that more than 1 pint will be needed to digest all that information, you will also need a map and compass. If you want to know anything just ask on this site it's great.

Just a correction,I didn't say fish at Abersoch,I said at Four mile bridge,on the bridge, which is in the inland sea. I thought the lad fancied a fishing trip,There's plenty of shelter at the bridge. Sounds like he has opted for the Battle cruiser
