PostSubject: Double headers and double figures   Thu Apr 20, 2017 8:31 pm

I had some peelers left from Saturday`s match, so it was off to the Foryd this afternoon for the flood, first two casts- two double headers,

and so it went on, from 3 o`clock till ten past five I had 17 flounders, all in-size, and the best one weighing in at 1-06-00 lbs. some of the greedy sods took two hooks at a time

It`s a good job I only took one rod, cos I didn`t have time to bait up in between bites.

Hi Rhod, I used to fish there in those days too, but since then I`ve learned how to use peeler crabs, the difference is plain to see. Very Happy Very Happy

I have said this before, just upstream of the bridge there was a pool on the Kinmel side at low tide, I saw a salmon jump and tried for it with a large spoon lure with a single hook, no salmon but 2 of the biggest flounder I had seen in the river, fairly hooked in the mouth.
