Another session down at Perch Rock. Weather was nice, sun shining with a sharp breeze..no sun and it would have been freezing just like today!

Low was at 5:15pm, one guy beat us onto the beach and a few followed but not as busy as I thought it was going to be. Heard of a few raymondo's coming out so had a rod on frozen lug and one on squid. Old Gregg on Lug. A bit of weed and crap knocking about but far from unfishable.
Water was like a mill pond for a while.
First cast was strange as after a while it seemed to move against the tide about 20 metres but no indication of a bite, old Gregg was rebaiting as he had been stripped and I figured I should do the same. I reeled in and could feel what I thought was weed but out popped this little beaut.
First cast and a fish is always good, we fished for around 3.5 hours but no more Cod showed just the occasional dab.

Good day to be out, cant wait until the air warms up when the sun is out
as summer arrives. Spent quite a bit of time this winter half frozen so it will be good to thaw out.
Off to north wales at the weekend to see what we can catch.

I use them all the time and as we all know often, the simplest way to solve "ax2 + bx + c = 0" for the value of x is to factor the quadratic, set each factor equal to zero, and then solve each factor
