Bruce and myself had a session on the island after rays on Friday night,we weren't overly confident
with the big tides but we ended up having a cracking session,catching 10 rays between us and a couple
of huss,i had a couple of small thornies,smalleye and a spotted,Bruce getting the better sized thornies
and a belter of a p.b. of 11lb-8,nice one mate,and lost a good double to a seal that was hanging around.
A few dogs and whiting in between the rays kept us busy and warm on a cold night but after the bites slowed
down 3 hours into the ebb packed up at 1 am and headed home a couple of happy chappies.

Well done on the Rays, hopefully catch a few myself this year. Didn't realise they were about, thought they only show when it warms up!

Feb onwards when conditions are right, best after a bit of a southerly blow then calming down, a bit of swell doesn't bother them but the less wind the better with smaller tides preferable.
