On my way to Bangor called in at Old Colwyn, about 30 fishing thete and plenty of mackerel coming in. Set up my spinning rod with a string of white lures and caught one first cast. Caught about a dozen at about 8 inches but the shoal quickly disapeared.
Dug a few big rag at Penmon, but hard work even with a big tide .
Will there be any bass tomorrow?

YES YES YES.
It was not very big at 12 ins but at least it was a bass from my old never fail spot I missed a couple of bites as well.
I had forgotten how many Sharp bits bass have.
I had another go at the rsgworm this evening, much more success I have not lost my mono , yet
I think tomorrow I will start at Penmon, I Sussed a couple of spots at low tide
It is funny that the place has changed in only 50 years

Too windy and cold at Penmon N side, like a washing machine, so tried inside West of the old Quarry jetty, missed a few slack line bites around high, possibly mackerel as another angler got one on feathers in a short spell while passing.
The Penrhyn bath house spot that worked so well in the past has changed dramatically, soft mud where was hard sand with masses of small lugworm, far more bladder wrack, lots of erosion eating away at the estate wall, though someone goes there regularly as there is a good track out there through the woods starting at the first break in the wall.
The peninsular at the end looks man made, and is now a thicket of Tamarisk trees and wild rose, a slasher would be useful. The old buildings at the end, I think a bath house are falling into the sea. There is no water there until 2 hours in and a strong tide early on
