Ok quick report...not a bite! Water was very calm. Used lug and mackerel baits. Fished from 11am to 5pm as we ran out of water....never seen the tide go out so far, water looked too shallow to fish, I had a go and lost a rig or two so gave up in the end.
However, I found 12 new weights amongst the rocks with various sizes and also a set of feathers and weight I had lost several hours earlier. A few people were mooching about looking for lost tackle so I though I would join in. Oh and 5 golf balls?
Only myself and brother fishing and another guy arrived and also blanked on the bottom. I set up some feathers and caught maybe 20 mackerel, all smallish so didn't keep any. Still plenty about for the time of year, there was quite a few sections of the sea boiling with a lot of white bait with many throwing themselves onto the shingle.
Hey ho, no blank thanks to the mackerel. Weather was sunny and wind was not existent. Quite a big jelly fish, in fact biggest I have seen came floating by as well which kept my youngest amused..
Looking for treasure...
