Low and high on the mersey

Me and ian fished the Mersey last night in front of Wallasey town hall
it was the first time any of us had shore fished their although I have
fished near their when I've been on the boat with simon and always
did well (3lb 2oz whiting ).

We arrived around 9:45pm and was soon casting frozen lug/squid cocktails
in to a flat calm Mersey.





The bites were instant and it didn't take long before we landed the first
of many fish of the night a little whiting followed by a little codling.





And then a little dab  3 fish 3 species



Once the flood started we moved to higher ground the prom which is
where ian caught his first fish of the sess.





Quickly followed by his 2nd and 3rd



It was a fish a cast for the next couple of hours happy days











It was a very mild night and the Mersey was like a mill pond all night
We packed up at 4:30am and headed of home we both had a cracking night's fishing
with around 30+ fish between us both

Looks like the whiting are up for it.

The łast time I fished the Mersey a cod said to me-
Orrite der Lah,you'll need a bigger bait than that to catch me

The Mersey starts in Stockport,the Scousers think they own it.

Well the rumour had to start somewhere,it's probably them that are talking a load of CODS.
