Thought my boat was up and ready, tried the steering yesterday just for a twiddle really.
The bracket on the outboard end is slipping,
The original bracket came with the boat, but it had been cocked up,just a simple bolt hole holding it,so with use,it has loosened.
I suppose it is a good thing really because I have found it before it went while out at sea.
I can engineer a decent bracket no problems.
With the boat being new to me,I have gone over it to correct any problems to make it dependable,
There's been a few,not serious, but a bit amateurish jobs done on it,hopefully, this will be the last one.
I've rigged my anchor connection from the bottom hole and used a tie strap to hold it at the top end so the tie strap will snap if it gets stuck, and the anchor will "reverse"when pulled.
All bits I know, but they could save the day maybe.

Bit dissapointed about the rain this weekend,I was going to give it a try.
I had a run out to test the trailer etc the other day.I've converted the wheels from classic mini's to Nissan micra's.It's put an inch on the radius and the tyres are wider.I had to re-drill the pcd's on the backplates and use spacers to hold the wheels further out.It certainly made a softer ride for the boat.
Trouble is,the summer is creeping away.

Thanks for the offer steve,I really appreciate it.
I have got a 14ft boat and 3.3 outboard on Gumtree at the moment,(9 pics)
I might have to be around to see buyers,so I'm not sure where I'm upto.
The last thing I want to do is offend you,I hope you understand.
I've got a boat on the drive, and one on the front lawn,a 10ft rowing boat and a 12ft inflatable in the back garden, plus a 14ft project boat, the place is starting to look like a boatyard, lol!
I'm getting shut so I can get a bit of garden back.I'm keeping the 10ft rowing boat and trailer, and the latest boat. The rest have got to go.
