just had an hour on the beach with the feathers one mackerel and thats all nice size tho

caught this one about a hundred yards out dont think i could see a float there never mind cast one out

You wouldn't need to see the float,it would be just a means of keeping you out there longer and at the desired depth.

You would soon feel the bites.
Saves casting and dragging in every few minutes.
You could have a chance of other species higher up in the water column.(Bass)
I tried it at Llandulas car park on the incoming and outgoing,it kept my end tackle above the rocks.(under the A55)

Floats have a decent weight on them,and you could add a small weight under your feathers,you could cast easily.

I used this method on holiday in Dubai and had lots of success with the Garfish, casting any distance was awkward though as the whole lot wanted to spin and tangle
