Strictly No Dancing!

Subject: Strictly No Dancing! Sat Dec 20, 2008 10:27 pm

Venue - Rhyl, Alex
Tide - High
Time - Night
Bait: Fresh Lug, Frozen Mackerel

The Maestro had been on a mamouth session. He’d been out for 6hrs when I met up with him.
Kindly, he’d supplied the fresh bait for me to fish for a few hours over high.

During daylight, fishing had been slow for Mehmet, with just a Flounder and a Rockling.

The light faded………

And along came the Whiting.

Both of us were into a bite, if not a fish a cast.

A few Rockling made for a bit of variety.

But it was the Whiting that were the story of tonight.

My 3hrs, and The Maestro’s 9, had come to an end.
I caught on my first cast and I caught on my last cast. Infact, I had caught on every cast tonight.

Another cracking Winter session on Rhyl Beach.

Well done Mike,

Mehmet's put another 6 hours or so in today (Sunday)!

He said weed was a problem today.

For me the problem was Christmas Shopping - both days Mad

having a good sniff at Morrison's fish counter just isn't the same as getting out there, weed or not.

It's actually a pretty decent fish counter in Morrisons(for round here anyway).

It usually has a few surprises there.

I've seen Dabs there before. Albeit 'grey' ones. Same as their Red Gurnard, also 'grey'.

They did have Whiting there yesterday morning. Which did inspire me to head out to the beach Smile

Ive put some stickies in the freezer tonight in anticipation. Theres a big Dab with my name on it out there!

Looking forward to it, and the old man says he might make an appearence, even though hes up early the next day!
