Mackerel are our country’s most prolific and recognisable fish. They are found along the whole coastline of the UK, where large shoals mean bumper catches are a possibility. The most effective way of catching mackerel is to use a string of feathers which are is many types
these are a small selection of mackerel feather. Very Happy

These are basic lures that are retrieved through the water or jigging from a boat mimicking small bait fish all colour's seem to work well from plain white through to vivid day-glo orange or strips of glittery tinsel and silver reflector strips designed to glint and flash through the water we all have are favourite types these "sabiki" my favourite. Very Happy

Most mackerel feathers will cost around 99p a pack cheers cheers

I saw a photo of one caught from Pwllheli beach yesterday and have heard they are showing around Mackeral Rock on the boats.

Great fun on a light rod with a single small rubber eel.
