Subject: High water marks? Tue Apr 12, 2016 11:34 am
I've been out a few times on low tides on various marks on the Dee estuary but now looking to try somewhere else.
Can anybody suggest anywhere between say Colwyn Bay and Rhyl that fishes well on a high tide?
Looking to go out either Saturday or Sunday (16th or 17th) but being a novice don't really know where?
Thanks in advance,
Peter

The Foryd harbour will fish well for Flounders at this time of year.

Hi Pete, fishing is slow at the minute. Llandudno a little further than colwyn but not much Colwyn bay prom. Pensarn. I would say fish into the evening. Two hours up one and half down.

Is there a landfill site on the banks of the river near there?
I can remember fishing near a landfill site near Rhyl as a nipper with my old fella and an uncle...They could have picked somewhere a little less smelly, but they certainly caught their fair share of flatties...
