I took my mates lad down to mostyn yesterday, he wanted to tag along as it was half term and his old man was in work, so along he came, I wont be taking him again because he showed me up
As it was a massive 33ft tide, we went to a spot which was out of the main channel and current, 1st cast and 1st blood to Lewis with a small cod.
2nd cast he goes 1 better and catches this cod which was 3lb+
It went quite after a good start and I was starting to wonder if it was going to be one of days for me, I couldn't even buy a bite! The tide had pushed us to the top of beach by the time I had my 1st bite, but I missed it(school boy error) then not long after that, I had my first fish of the day, a small blank saving cod and a flounder on my next cast.
After that, we both caught some more small cod and flounders which made it an enjoyable morning out.
Lewis sent me this last night just to rub it in!
