Sleeping beauty does it again

I had a very early start today (2:30 on a sunday ) on a river Mersey boat trip
on board suveran with simon.

Also with me were mark,andrew,paul,johnny(my new mate ) and lunty
We arrived at Liverpool marina around 4:00am for a 4:30am sail
with the weather forcast not looking good we wasn't expecting many fish
but we did try.








We were soon at are first mark and it was slow very slow
their was a horrible swell which knocked me for six
followed by andy and another lad on board.

I decided to get my head down in the wheelhouse followed by johnny    

 

While I was sleeping andy,mark,lunty and paul had found some fish    







Once I was feeling better I was straight into the action





The fishing was slow but I believe we did the best out of the other charter boat's today  
we ended up with 6 keep able cod with this 9lb one being the biggest  



And plenty for good size whiting  
and after loosing 3 rigs in 3 cast's simon's luck did
change with a few small whiting and this 4lb cod    



Thanks si we made the best of it today and thanks lads apart from
feeling like crap early on I had a great day.

Great report of a great day out with a few laughs,the fishing was a bit slow and the weather was awful but we managed a few fish and a good bit of banter along the way (after the swelli belli) lol ,well done on the fish Stevo it's a belter

Yep let the shrimp eat your worm and get hooked then the crab comes along and eats the shrimp and gets tangled,the pin whiting comes along and eats the crab and gets hooked in the A hole then a bigger whiting comes and eats that,all this time we were telling you that you had a bite,after an hour you walked over to your rod as a fat ass cod was swimming over to the hooked whiting,it struck the whiting and you struck the rod and we all know the result..........pure skill well done again mate

Whatever happened it worked

Well done Steve on a very good report and a great set of pictures yours are getting as good as Daves. Congratulations on the biggest fish again great result pal, your becoming my hero!

Nah, just bloody persistant, so many times I have had the best fish on the last cast or drop from a boat.
