I'm dreaming of a whiting christmas

Had a early one today on the river Mersey with simon aboard suveran also with
me were mark,logger,ade,joe,ross,jim and 2 of loggers mate's.

I was up at 4:00am for a 6:00am sail from liverpool marina hope's
were high after simon having a cracking day on the river yesterday





Jim was the first one to catch this little dab




Joe was quick to follow with a quick fire dogfish followed by a 4lb 11oz ray



Everyone was catching good sized whiting even dave  



With this being the biggest a massive 3lb 2oz for me


With the odd cod being caught we started catching some nice rays the biggest was 9lb 15oz for me again







After having a lamb hotpot half way though (thanks Julie   ) we were back on it again    




In the last hour this cracking 7lb cod was caught followed by dave's tiny codling (Look's bigger than it was)



Another great day afloat made even better by the people onboard the fish were just
a bonus happy days and MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Feeling a bit knackered this morning it was a long day got up at 3am and home at 6pm  but wouldn't of mist it for the world none stop banter and catching from the off count me in for the next one if I'm available. Three early Christmas presents for Steve with the three heaviest fish on the day well done again Steve, I lay claim to the smallest a little dab and the first out at that. I am also laying claim to the biggest tangle along with Mark it must of taken us the best part of 10 minuets to untangle but all done in good humour. Ross and myself went home with 7 very nice good sized Whiting and we put 4 back before we started saving them. Thanks again to all and I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
