All this wind and rain has been doing my head in recently scuppering my plans to get up to 50 species for the year, the forecast wasn't the best for today either with 20-30mph winds but I thought I'd have a drive up to breakwater this afternoon and have a look what the conditions were like. I was greeted with waves crashing above the top wall but the wind was blowing the water back out to sea so it looked ok to get the end on my push bike(cheat I know!) I should of brought my chesties!
1st cast I caught species number 49 of the year, a shore rockling
After the good start I never managed to add anything else but i caught another rockling a little tompot
And a bootlace Conger
So 1 to go until I hit the big 50! Hopefully I'll get out over Xmas and try for a coalfish(weather permitting)
