Fall 'n' Arches Empty
PostSubject: Fall 'n' Arches   Fall 'n' Arches EmptySun Oct 25, 2015 11:20 am

Fall 'n' Arches,
Colwyn Bay last night

I was all ready to settle down with a mug of Ovaltine but Tina has really fallen for this fishing lark and insisted we went

We made it down to Colwyn Bay Prom about half an hour before High and set up 100 yards from the arches.

As usual Tina landed one with her first cast, her first Rockling

A nice crisp Autumn evening, we used 2 hook flappers size 2 offering lug on one and sandeel section on the other. The bait was lasting well - so the water temperature has unsurprisingly fallen

Lug had the most interest and I drew level with a whiting

And then as the water fell away a good tussle for me from a better one

Springs Forward, Falls Back....

the putting back of the clocks last night had completely passed me by until this morning - not a bad way to spend a bonus hour!

It's a Gaidropsarus Mediterraneus,

Thought that was the medical term for an upset stomach on holiday after a dodgy Paella study
lol!
