From last weekend

Sorry it's a bit late but been having a few problems with Internet ,so just to let you know 5of us fished town hall steps on the Mersey last Sunday and it was very slow for us but there was a match on and the guy fishing next to me was catching 2 and 3 at a time ( small coddling,dabs and whiting) when I went over to have a chat he was using half of small peeler crab as bait and said he had tried worm and fish baits but was having the same result as us ,baits stripped within 10 mins but on this day the crabs weren't eating there own so it gave the fish a chance ,ste managed a couple of small whiting and Andy managed a codlet and the only inside fish which was a dab these fish only came in darkness but it was time for us to go as we fished 2 hrs either side of low,some pics of the day
