Watched this tonight. Episode 1 of a new series

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p02d9xv4/earths-wildest-waters-the-big-fish-1-iceland

Ben Fogle and Matt Hayes.

Sort of a mash up of other fishing program formats, and target audience appeared aimed at the less experienced/no experience anglers, but it was still quite watchable.

Didn't like the " who goes who stays" format - bit too come dancing that bit, but certainly watchable and great to see a fishing programme on main stream telly.

Just watched episode 2.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06kp6j3/earths-wildest-waters-the-big-fish-2-cuba

They have gone from Iceland to Cuba. Can't wait for episode 6 - the grand final - "Rockling Fishing at Splash Point in December"

I had one of those as well, I thought about it, and let the deadline for applications come and go, To many different sorts of fishing , you can`t teach an old dog new tricks. Smile

Just watched last week's episode here http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06mzj7x/earths-wildest-waters-the-big-fish-3-laos

Some of the anglers had a "Laos"y time last week. They would have done better in Anglesea.

Episode 4 for anyone still interested

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06nwlmq/earths-wildest-waters-the-big-fish-4-costa-rica

See who is "sail"ing away at the end. The person who left it was a shame to see them go, but they had been lucky on previous weeks.

Only one more episode to go before the grand final at Splash Point Wink Perhaps they will try their cast net skills there.

The rockling are much bigger in Canada.

Next week is somewhere full of wild animals. I am still assuming it will be Splash Point. Laughing
