I went to Seascale again tonight and fished the tide up
Got there about 6pm with the sea well on its way up the beach.
I set the rod up and put a simple pennal rig on with some freshly pumped blow lug and cast into the surf hoping Mr Bass might be on the feed
I left the rod in its stand to fish itself while I pumped more blow lug until I had enough for my session which wasn't going to be more than a couple of hours at the most as I was starving hungry and with high tide at 9.30pm I decided I'd pack up at eight and risk a blank
The incoming tide had chased me back up the beach until I was in exactly the same spot as two nights ago, by this time i had switched to a flatty rig as the surf had died off and I'd almost reached my deadline of 8pm.
As I only had two worm left it would be my last cast, upto now I hadn't had a single bite
Ten minutes went by and that was it time to reel in and pack up empty handed.... or so I thought
As the rig came out of the water it carried with it a Pin Whiting and a three bearded Rockling
No Flounder this time but blank avoided
