What a great turn out at pensarn tonite plenty of banter great to put faces to names now to my session 1 small bass 1 size 2/0 hook in my thumb and 1 broken rod was it all worth the pain well hell yes it was great to meet everybody again well done to those that caught fish on a hard tide

I hope you didn`t bother checking your lottery numbers Joe,

Blank avoided for me, but I`d hoped for something better than a couple of these little blighters,

Bugger forgot to do the lotto ah still would have lost

First blood to Joker!









Early on the weed was a pain but it cleared nearer High







Love in a cold climate!  


A big thank you on behalf of the Admin Team to you all ( around 30 including our friends from Colwyn Bay Victoria Sea Angling Club and a seal )  who turned up this evening, many of you travelled considerable distances to our meet and we appreciate it.

As July evenings go it wasn't bad for an October one!

Not many fish were landed considering the number of rods pointing seaward; Joker's Bass, a clutch of Weever, an Eel and a Flattie
( Hot Shot Alan managed 3 species ) - not sure if I've missed anything there-  but as a social meet up it was a huge success and testimony to the camaraderie that makes us all proud to collectively be Sunny Rhyl.

you didn't have much luck with the rod or the thumb but you did have the only bass well done joe

Nice one paul and my thumb is famous

Nothing beats the smell or stench of baited fingers in the morning no matter how many times there washed

Well done on the only bass Joe shame there weren't more about but that's fishing really enjoyed the evening I think we did more yapping than fishing like but you don't get to know folk if you don't talk that's for sure & I got to add another blank to my collection nice to meet you all

A blank for me but I really enjoyed meeting up with you guys and
member's I hadn't meet before like chris (messiah),jack,tim,terry,
carl and at long last hot shot al had a great evening with some cracking

No probs Tatch Sorry they didn't attract the fish Maybe I shouldn't keep them in the same tin I use for the paraffin

A BIG thanks to all that made it yesterday it was a brilliant evening but as Chris said we forgot to invite the fish so that'll be the priority for the next one

Fishing was dire but who cares the company was great

When Joe arrived he was confident of getting two fish



He had the Bass ok
(We're never going to hear the end of this )



But I don't think the thumb counts mate sorry



I took over as medic and on the count of three the hook was pulled out with the pliers
Well it would have been three but but I never could count so it went on one



A braver man than me as he carried on fishing but later on wished he hadn't as his rod rest went over and snapped his rod tip off

Andy Lee was just aiming for one fish but failed miserably along with the many, myself included  
Should have worn your shiny suit mate    



Got Shot had some luck earlier in the day with An eel and a Weever (how lucky can you get ) but managed a Dab in the evening to show us all how its done Well done Alan.



Terry had a Weever too the lucky devil  But what made the rest of us blankers happy was the fact that Mehmet blanked aswell (Almost unheard of)



Wildgoose had a crab which we're still discussing whether or not it counts as a blank saver    



















The Bass still eluded Tim which is really tough luck as no one has tried harder than him this year    Hard luck pal but at least you had a Weever to save the blank  



And I've saved the biggest pair of blankers till last

At least a weaver got a spiky dorsal fin lol . Good to see such a good turn out . Can't believe I got my car grounded again !! Doooooooo!!
