Forgive me if this is old news, but I've not had chance to get out for a long time. Took my lad and his mate to the breaky this evening hoping for an easy couple of hours from the back of the car. Disappointed to find there's no access anymore. When was it blocked? Will it reopen? It looks like there's quite a lot of work going on there, so are there any plans that are fishing-friendly or is it the end of an era? Sorry again if this has already been discussed.
Cheers
Mike

It was closed some weeks ago ( maybe months now) I understand someone fell off the top and this is why it closed. It is closed to vehicles though I believe you can walk on, I did read a report of someone being turned away by someone as it was a work site but I don't think this is a general situation.

The work you've seen may actually just be the concrete arches being kept there ready I hear to be transported by sea to Blackpool to cover a sewerage pipe.

So far as I know Stena have not issued any official statements so some facts being passed around might be rumour only.

Apparently there is a match scheduled on there so all is not lost.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks, it would be such a shame if it's closed for good. Nice easy fishing out the back of the car with a good chance of catching.
