went out for the day with billy on his boat tight lines at Prestatyn  to have a go at the bass.
with the weather forecast giving a sunny day with light winds there were about 6 other boats out all trying for the bass. we fished the bank first and had 1 bass and a few good sized flounders around a pound and a half and a few dabs and whiting. when the tide picked up we started to drift the rough ground it was a bit slow to start but billy managed 2 bass and a gurnard on the soft plastics. the time to come in soon came around but at least we had both had our first bass of the year all of which went back to grow a bit bigger. so thanks to billy for putting up with me for the day. as always great company and a great day out.
a few pics of the day

Nice one, good to know the plastics were catching, I thought it might need to be warmer for a bit longer first.
