Any1 had the pleasure of fishing in Spain? I'm after some guidance. Is a license required and can you fish anywhere along the coast like over here? study

Vague recollection of reading something about licenses required and having to be applied for in advance once but I'm really not sure

Just found out if I apply for a license over there I have to do an exam in spanish study

The charters must get around this some how. I think its gonna be a case of wait til over there then ask about. Maybe a charter outing fishing

Half way down that second link it says something about foreign license holders not having to take the exam in Spanish, it's not exactly clear though is it!

I went to alcudia last year did not need a licence but fish on the bell vue complex also fished the harbour at alcudia asked in local tackle shop if we needed any licence we were told not in alcudia unless we were going on a lake or pond for catfish/carp mainly coarse fish hope this helps mate

Sólo puedo hablar un poco de español, pero más de lo que yo hablaba galés affraid


I used to live in Murcia and regularly fished off the coast never had a problem BUT not sure if I needed a licence.
