Anglesey Thursday 7th May 2015

Andrew picked me up 5.15am & we were off & away to Anglesey called in to see malc & get our rag & crab & I ended up coming out with a new rod to boot couldn't resist it a conoflex enigma south in welsh colours.So a few quid lighter of we went destination HHB again what a beautiful day yet again got the mercury set up & cast  for a conger & chucked the other as far as I could(not far in my case ) baited with rag & lug from the off it was dogs & whiting tried other baits squid mackerel bluey sandeel mussel crab prawn but still nothing but dogs & tings .I wandered over for a natter with Andrew when I heard a loud clicking followed by more loud clicking then it dawned on me  its the ratchet on the heavy set up I ran back lifted into something which didn't want to shift for a start but i got it to the edge to be greeted by the sight of my first shore caught conger  boy was I glad we had the net.Got the little fella unhooked photographed & back in quick as we could & off he went back to the depths.That was to be the only eel back to dogs & tings after that till we packed up ready for the long walk back them humpa lumpas are proving there worth lately & then some I want to catch one of these here huss next so if anyone has advice on baits tactics venues it would be more than welcome made up with my day all in all roll on the next session

Not for us it didn't all we caught besides that little conger was dogs & tings
