Nefyn to declare

Well not on the bass front but we did have loads and loads of dogs and whiting,our plans to fish Pwllheli were ended by the strong southenley winds so we opted for shelter at nefyn,we arrived at low water and fished it up for four hrs and an hour into the flood the bites started and then never stopped,Paul fished two rods and couldn't keep up at times

We had lots of fish each but all the same sort,so we called off at a bass mark on the way home and fished over high but only managed more whiting
Still a bit early to be chasing bass yet but it was a great day out and we missed the rain so not all bad

What is that Pinocchio like crab? I presume that snout thing drills into stuff, never seen one before, can anyone tell us any more?

Never fished there, but i know they get Turbot there so may be visiting soon for the hunt.

The masked crab spends its life buried in the wet sand in shallow water. It has very long antennae which join together to form a hollow tube which it leaves sticking out of the sand when buried enabling it to draw water into its gills though the tube.
