Been thinking of getting a multiplier for shore fishing
I've been looking at these but no sure which is the most
user friendly any help/info would be very helpful.

1st penn 525 mag 2


2nd abu 6500c3 ct mag elite

I`ve got both Steve, 3 of the penns and one of the abus , the penns are a lot more rugged, and can winch in treble headers of dogs all night, but the abu will cast a bit further.
Malcolm in Beaumaris is selling the Penn 525 mag2 for £100, it`s well worth a trip down there for any big items.

i have the 2 abu 6500 c3 ct mags and find them great not had a penn bye

I don't use multis so can't add much, but did I read somewhere that recently made Penn reels are not so well made due to manufacturing relocating to China? Might be totally wrong but I've an idea someone said older 2nd hand ones are holding their value as a result

Might be duff info though!

I was thinking the abu but I believe daiwa make go one's as well

If possible you could ask a mate who as both or one of the reels so you could try them i have penn 525 you can try mate i could leave it with logger i also have a 6500 you could try if this helps you
