Had another go tonight 8 - 10..... blanked Sad
Tried a little further up the river for the first hour but the current was much stronger than Tuesday and the only way to hold bottom was to uptide which worked a treat but the weed beat me in the end so I moved to where I fished on Tuesday for the last hour and although the current wasn't so strong here it was crab city and a dead loss Sad
Good to be out though and trying somewhere new Cool

I'll add pics on the weekend.

MacLellans Castle in Kirkcudbright

Fished down river from Kirkcudbright first thinking it shouldnt be too hard to reach the channel from here.

A little further along lays the wreck of the schooner MONREITH of Wigtown which sank on the 12th November 1900.

But all to soon rain stopped play Sad

So it was chip shop time and hope it stopped which it did after an hour so I thought id try the muddy banks near the harbour for a Flounder.

I kept my gear to the bear minimum but a rod stand would have been handy Exclamation

Along the river bank are a couple of projects just waiting for some keen boat builder to have a go at.... Paul Question

Well Spring.... More like Well Sprung  Exclamation

Great to try new places  bye
