today with logger

Went to talacre for low fishing with logger for anything bait was frozen lug wind was a pain but at least the rain stopped first with a double header was logger dab and y/ting then i had a y/ting nothing until the tide turned then logger again a y/ting them me with a y/ting last cast logger got a big dab plenty of life on the beach but best of all was the banter was good to be fishing again logger will put pics and his report latee

It was great to catch up with you Joe

As Joe said it was pouring down and the mist was hanging over the hill tops of Mostyn and threatening to drop onto us which could have been a real problem as anyone who knows that beach can appreciate but the strong westerly that was blowing, although a pain, kept the mist in the hills and away from us

After half an hour the rain let up and we were dried on the wind which xc weather said would be gusting up to 29mph but we thought it felt more like 30mph  

On my first cast I had a Dab and a Whiting but nothing afterwards for an hour until the flood when another Dab came on and then a couple of casts later a mediocre Whiting followed by another Dab 50 minutes later on my last cast, a decent one this time which made it tempting to stay a bit longer but good sense prevailed as darkness wasn't far away and the mist still looked like it could pose a problem if the wind dropped besides which we were almost two hours into the flood so it really was time to go

Not great fishing by Talacra standards but considering we're only just into April.....

If the rain had kept up it would have been a short session especially as Joe had forgotten to attach the lid to his new fishing suit but I had faith in the weather forecast, XC Weather is rarely wrong
