Decided go mostyn this morning ,arrived at low water at 6 am ,nice warm morning ,but not for long!! My plan was to fish two hours of the flood tide for an early plaice ,then fish a different mark two hour each side of high for plaice .battle plan one rod two hook flapper size 1s frozen lug squid and mussel , started of with a plain lead and then to a gripper when the tide picked up.
After an hour the heavens opened up and it didn't let up till eleven o'clock .
Fished two hours of the flood tide and had one good rattle witch nothing came of..
Had an hour break in the car made a brew then went to my high water mark .still raining my mood was low and just wonted go home ,but got keep trying , had some frozen peeler for my high water assault ..fished three hours then had a good rattle on the ebbing tide , gave it a bit of slack to engulf the bait ,looked like a proper plaice bite, give it five mins then reeled in , my plaice turned in to a codling lol ...
It was in size and I thought that do me untill I unhooked it , had big sore under its chin and lots of worms in its gills .so chucked it back , how well at least I didn't blank .. Untill next time ...
