I bought a 6500 a bit un loved, I took it to Eddythefly ,Geoff, he fettled it up for me and its good and usable as a second 6500 for me, give him a shout.

I do all mine my self owdd , easy just take your time and note where the bits all go back, clean your bearing in lighter fuel ..

thanks for that lads its a real old one that big h wants to get serviced I do take the sides off mine and give them a clean and oil every few trips out but that's as much as I do

When back from fishing I strip my 6500 to bits and clean, when re assemble I oil with "Virtuosi" valve oil, used to oil the valves on brass instruments, available at www.virtuosi.co.uk
